Overview:
Description of Position:
This position is responsible for prompt and accurate billing and follow-up for RYC services provided to clients covered by third party payors, including: Medicare, Medicaid, SASS, commercial insurance, worker’s compensation, private/self pay and managed care programs. The role includes communication with clients, UPH staff, and payor representatives utilizing the Robert Young Center’s Trauma Informed Care Guiding Principles.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements

Education:
Minimum of a High School degree or GED.
Medical Billing
Experience:
Experience in a medical office setting, verifying insurance.
Exposure to accounts receivable or insurance experience
License(s)/Certification(s):
Medical billing and coding certificate
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Skills in the operations of computers and other office equipment including Microsoft Office
Written and verbal communication skills
Ability to be Customer Service focused
Ability and skill to communicate with external stakeholders, including insurance companies
Other:
Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
