Eckerd Connects’ E-Nini-Hassee outdoor therapeutic school for girls in Floral City, Florida, is a 70-capacity residential facility that provides academic and behavioral treatment through a combination of fully-accredited education, therapeutic outdoor adventures, primarily group counseling and individual counseling, as needed. Youth live in rural, outdoor settings in small groups of 10-12 with well trained and caring counselors.

Position Concept
Provides, coaching, mentoring, mental health, and substance abuse services to youth and families in the program, including assessments, treatment planning, therapy, crisis intervention, and family counseling. Therapeutic sessions will promote growth, positive development, developmental milestones, and supports safety, permanency and well-being. As necessary, position may also provide clinical oversight of the provision of mental health and substance abuse services by non-licensed clinical staff members.
Essential Functions
Position Specifications
Education: Licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Clinical Psychologist required. Coursework or practicum experience in group work, family therapy, and/or substance abuse treatment is preferred.
Experience: Two years progressive clinical experience in a multi-disciplinary treatment setting required. Prior experience with juvenile treatment population preferred. Well versed in cognitive behavioral therapy.
Skills: Clinical, testing, interpersonal, organizational, communication and evaluative/diagnostic case writing; excellent verbal and written communication skills; computer literacy. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
Other: Must meet state criminal background check requirements. Serves as a positive role model for youth and staff at all times through appearance, attitude, and behavior; must maintain licensure used to obtain employment in this role.
Travel: Must be able to meet requirements for Eckerd’s Auto Insurance and be able to drive for business purposes. Must have and maintain an appropriate and valid state driver’s license.
Physical Demands: Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time; May be required to work irregular hours; Must be free of communicable diseases as defined by state and to the extent that knowledge is attainable under the law.
