Current Need
We are seeking a Key Account Rep to join our team in the Houston, Texas Area. The ideal candidate will live in the territory.
Position Description
The Key Account Rep is responsible for building and maintaining effective long-term relationships with a limited number of strategic or key accounts to ensure a high level of satisfaction, focused on retention and growth. Serves as the daily interface for customer transactions, inventory analysis, reporting, reconciliations, and product conversions. This role provides proactive communications related to the chain supply and supports other key initiatives defined by sales leadership. The role is remote / field based and requires time at the customer location.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Support of Customer Base
Manages the transactional customer relationship. Proactively communicates supply chain expectations. Manages new affiliates on boarding and tracking. Fields product-specific questions from customers. Facilitate GPO Contract issues. Assists with reconciling open issues and open A/R and keeping DSO within terms. Resolve SMO issues and assisting in the creation of new users with approval levels within customer requirements. Takes a proactive approach to address issues and follow-through to resolution, escalating when appropriate.
Reporting
Prepares and monitors reports such as backorder reports, pricing discrepancies, licensing expirations, contract renewals, cost savings, other reports as needed.
Utilize technology & analytics tools
Understand and leverage McKesson tools. Provide customer training on McKesson tools where needed. Provides support to Area Sales Manager & Corporate Accounts FVP during business reviews.
Selling Activities
Reviews client product lists and recommends McKesson Brand products for substitution. Identifies and presents savings opportunities to the customer. Cross-sells and upsells where appropriate. Formulary management including discontinued and replacement items.
Collaboration & Engagement:
Collaborate with the Area Sales Manager & Corporate Accounts FVP, and McKesson Sales Specialists (to increase current customer purchases).
Standards & Continuing Development:
Exhibit I2CARE & ILEAD behaviors. Participate in performance and development activities including but not limited to: self-directed continuing education and training to increase selling & negotiations skills. Stay informed of industry trends and current events within McKesson.
Other:
Support special projects based on key customer initiatives. Other responsibilities as assigned.
