POSITION OVERVIEW
The Onboarding Specialist (OS) will work with our Talent Acquisition Team and hiring managers to manage all backgrounds, offers, and onboarding. The OS is an integral partner in managing recruiting activities and building candidate relationships. The OS will need to be an organizational guru, work effectively with internal clients and candidates, possess excellent communication skills, and can shift gears at a moment’s notice.
A CLOSER LOOK AT THE PEOPLE AND PROCESSES
Processing new hire paperwork for external employees, including running background checks, drug screens, and I-9 Forms.
Create, send, and manage the offer letters.
Analyze, report and interpret data to assist management with decision making.
Analyze, report and interpret data to assist management with decision making, policy formulation, and strategy.
Fully manage new hire onboarding, including welcome phone calls and emails to new employees, coordinating and tracking new hire tasks, and assisting new employees during their initial employment period.
Coordinate with hiring managers, training specialists to create an onboarding schedule.
Conduct new employee orientation for on-site and remote new hires.
Follow up with internal teams and new hires on any open items in order to solve issues and provide excellent service.
Create proactive approaches to enhance the new employee experience through employer branding, culture building, and communication.
Update candidate records and job postings in recruiting systems and confirming new hires.
Answer and assist with any new employee questions that come into the team via phone or email.
Collaborate with internal resources and teams to provide accurate and thorough guidance and answers to employees.
Conduct and track 3 week post hire check-ins.
Participate in candidate outreach activities, including job fairs and other recruitment events.
Assisting in the coordination of other recruiting activities as needed.
THE “Backgrounds AND Programs” NECESSARY FOR SUCCESS
Willing to work full-time (40 hours/week)
Experience with ATS’s
Strong personal ownership of one’s work and the initiative to go beyond what is asked
Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Professional attitude, motivation, integrity, and the ability to handle confidential information
Willingness to support company philosophies and concepts
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree required
