We are looking for a full-time EMCTechnician for our headquarters in Olathe, Kansas. In this role you will be responsible for developing advanced test and/or calibration procedures, independently setting up and running complex procedures, identifying issues and propose solutions. Other essential functions include:

• Review and develop schedules for complex testing and/or calibration activities.
• Demonstrating advanced knowledge and understanding of electronics and/or mechanical theory and applications
• Mentors level 2 Technicians
• Perform advanced tests and/or calibrations in accordance with plans and procedures
• Develop and review advanced test schedules to determine which requests are ready for execution
• Conduct prioritization activities, develop testing and communicate outcomes to the team
• Develop and perform advanced testing by applying the appropriate level of measurement skills, equipment operation and tool utilization
• Apply procedures and diagnose issues as required
• Maintain and ensure the integrity of test equipment and records
• Develop, define and administer tests to align with engineering test procedures
• Maintain a high-level attention to detail to insure accuracy
• Complete other duties as assigned

Qualified candidates possess an Associate of Arts degree in Electronics Technology or Vocational Certificate in Electronics or Engineering Technology, or substantially related field or a minimum of 80 hours towards a Bachelors degree in Electronics Technology or a substantially related field or a high school diploma or GED with previous Military training OR Bachelors degree in Electronics or substantially relate field OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience Associate of Arts degree in Electronics Technology. Other requirements include:

• Must possess a minimum of 5 years Quality Technician experience in a related field of Calibration, EMC, RF, Antenna, Reliability or Electronics
• Demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude related to using tools and measurement devices (i.e. hand tools, calipers, gages, etc.)
• Demonstrates strong electrical aptitude related to operating electrical equipment and test devices (i.e. multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.)
• Demonstrated ability to develop test/calibration schedules and operate equipment with little direction
• Must demonstrate advanced knowledge and understanding of electronics and/mechanical theory and applications
• Previous demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Access, Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Must demonstrate the ability to lead or assist with Engineering processes
• Ability to create custom test/calibration procedures, set-up and provide feedback on recommendations of improvement or equipment requirements
• Ability to analyze testing/calibration and communicate this information and recommendations back to given stake holders
• Must possess the ability to lift up to 55 pounds to effectively perform the essential functions of this job description

Experience with ISO9000, ISO17025, AS9100, IATF6949 and previous calibration, reliability or electronics experience is highly preferred!
