Role Purpose:

The SAP Operations Implementation Manager will work with SME’s from the AAF SAP S/4HANA Project Team and SAP Functional consultants to drive the AAF Production Plant and Warehouse operations process standardization for manufacturing operations across AAF by taking ownership for defining Master Data attributes/elements, values, and Operational processes for the project. This key role will ensure business processes holistically integrate with other business processes to fully support AAF’s corporate, manufacturing and inventory management locations. The SAP Operations Implementation Manager will ensure integrity of Production Master Data throughout the system, coordinate the localization of the standard processes within each plant, and will also assume responsibility for identification and resolution of integration issues to ensure the solution meets integration requirements.

Key Accountabilities:

• Establishes, implements, and communicates the strategic direction of the organization’s operations, which include Sales Order Fulfillment, Procurement, Transportation Management, Inventory Management, and Customer Service. 
• Collaborates with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems. 
• Collaborates with other divisions and departments to carry out the organization’s goals, KPIs, and objectives. 
• Coordinates the “localization” of the standardized production processes to the production work center layout, ensures the “localization” is measuring all the key production control feedback metrics, and assists each plant manager with the establishment of the plant process and Master Data teams.
• Coordinates with each plant manager to ensure 100% compliance with the documented processes.
• Identifies, recommends, and implements new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials. 
• Ensures that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, development, organization, material efficiency, hardware acquisitions, and facilities are in line with the organizations business plan and vision. 
• Establishes, communicates, and implements operations-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution. 
• Reviews and approves cost-control reports, cost estimates, and staffing requirements for projects. 
• Establishes and administers systems operational budget, SAP Master Data, and Variances to Operational Standards. 
• Collaborates with other manufacturing leaders to hire and train management-level staff in AAF Manufacturing Operations.  These include Plant Management, Demand – Supply – Production Planners, Distribution and Inventory Management, Transportation Management, and KPI Management. 
• Presents periodic performance reports and metrics to the Manufacturing VP and Chief Financial Officer and other leadership. 
• Presents periodic performance feedback based on each operation in the organization. 
• Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in operations management. 
• Identifies training needs and ensures proper training is developed and provided. 

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Engineering, or other industry-related field required; MBA preferred;
• At least 10 years of industry-related experience including three years in management required;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills;
• Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.  These include Inventory Management, Distribution Management, Production Planning & Fulfillment;
• Proven successful work history utilizing SAP implementation methodology. This includes experience with SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA Production Planning, Production Orders, and Quality Rework Processes within SAP;
• Extensive experience with the use of bar code scanning equipment, production sensors, and case / pallet labeling relative to batch / lot management and product serialization;
• Must have operational experience with SAP S/4HANA.  This includes S&OP processes, Supply and Distribution planning and execution, Warehouse and Inventory management, maintenance of assigned Master Data, and how to communicate these management schemes to line management and supervisors;
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.  Must be able to “walk the floor” in any plant and understand the operational process, how the process is measured and monitored, and have the ability to engage with plant and warehouse personnel in feedback and operational improvements;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $130,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
