As a Principal UX Designer for Zillow Home Loans, you will lead the design of experiences that help customers get pre-approved, secure a home loan, and refinance existing loans through Zillow. You will also design the tools used by Zillow operators so that they can best serve our customers. Your role requires a proven track record of applying user-centered innovation to the design of successful mobile and web experiences.
You will work closely with product managers, design researchers, other designers, data scientists, and engineers from initial concept and strategy through the execution of design and then product releases. You ll act as a design lead and mentor a team of designers that create stories that exceed the expectations of our customers while balancing the needs of the business. You
Will Get To:Advocate for the user, both customers and Zillow employees.
Identify needs and solve real problems through a user-centered approach. Lead design point of view for a delightful user experience throughout the product lifecycle and across multiple product teams. Sketch solutions with prototypes, test ideas with UX researchers, and refine designs with data and user feedback
Collaborate with product partners to prioritize, plan, and design approaches to enable the best experience outcome.Design and prototype sophisticated solutions for desktop, mobile, and web apps
Document detailed interaction models and UI specifications
Collaborate with other designers to maintain consistency and coherence across the features
Manage and prioritize a workload of multiple projects from concept to completion
Evangelize the best UX practices to other designers, engineers, and product managers This role has been categorized as a Remote position. Remote employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company.
Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.
In Colorado, the standard pay range for this role is $158,600.00 $253,400.00 Annually. This range is specific to Colorado and may not be applicable to other locations. Who you are
You are an expert UX practitioner and leader with vision who knows how to make everyone around you better. You are a diligent advocate for the customer and know how to encourage others to care deeply about customers too. You are a great collaborator and communicator and understand that the path to outstanding customer experiences is through great partnerships with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications7 years of experience designing user-centered, consumer experiences. Exceptional partner with product, engineering, and business who drives towards solutions together. Demonstrate expertise in your craft.
You inspire and mentor other designers on the team. Driven to move fast, be decisive and deliver best-in-class user experiences. Excellent communicator both verbally and visually with the ability to influence and build consensus.
Excel at crafting frameworks to ensure the team is focused on the most impactful problems to solve.
