ABBVIE Hiring for Senior Copywriter at California Full Time

Allergan Data Labs is part of Allergan Aesthetics, an AbbVie Company, the fourth largest pharmaceutical company in the world. Our brands are iconic household names such as Botox Cosmetic, Juvéderm and CoolSculpting. Our team is bi-coastal and operates out of Irvine, CA and New York, NY.

THE ROLE

As part of Allergan Aesthetics’ in-house creative agency, we’re looking for a Copywriter that can deliver strategic, compelling copy, and help us define and elevate our brand voice. In this role, you will be working on high-profile beauty brands, including BOTOX® Cosmetic and JUVÉDERM® across social content, websites, broadcast video and more.

Armed with data-driven insights, you will collaborate with designers and editors under the guidance of the Creative Director to develop strategic, smart copy. As part of the team, you are comfortable working with cross-functional partners, presenting to our brand stakeholders, and seek out valued feedback to achieve intended results.

On any given day, this is how you’ll spend your time:

• Attention Grabbing Storytelling: You know how brands can tell their story in a way that makes people want to read and listen to our creative
• Be Our Brand Voice: You’ll be the advocate how we communicate, both creatively and consistently
• Strategic with Words: Finding the right words, within a brand voice, to be persuasive and effective
• Resonant and Succinct: Our brands have a lot of great things to say, but you will spot and write what consumers want to hear
• Sharing Ideas: You’ll articulate the “why” behind your copy choices to the benefit of goals in each brief

• Attention to Detail: Our products cross beauty and medical, so we are meticulous about the regulatory details, with the support of the team you’ll be the first step in proofreading and checking

• Collaborator: You’ll be a part of a tight-knit group of creatives and makers who collaborate with brand teams to craft compelling copy

Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

• Best-in-Class Copy: 3+ years of experience as a copywriter who develops, produces, and delivers creative output as a central role in an advertising agency, editorial, or an in-house creative group
• Data Analytics: relentlessly leverages consumer and cultural insights and data to inspire creative
• Brand: building a brand identity with an understanding of the differences across various campaign touchpoints
• Every Channel Delivery: an understanding of all paid, earned, shared, and owned channels
• Branded Campaigns: creating branded campaigns through team cross-collaboration
• Media: Work on successful campaigns across multiple media touchpoints, especially in social
• Beauty/Medical: experience in beauty and/or medical categories
