Job Summary
We are looking for a talented HR Coordinator to join our team and participate in the hiring process from beginning to end. You will facilitate daily HR functions like keeping track of employees records and supporting the interview process.
The HR Coordinator will have a broad knowledge of Human Resources as well as general administrative responsibilities. They will be able to work autonomously and efficiently to ensure the end-to-end running of HR projects and operations.
Responsibilities
o Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance
o Redirect HR related calls or distribute correspondence to the appropriate person of the team
o Maintain records of personnel-related data (payroll, personal information, leaves, turnover rates etc.) in both paper and the database and ensure all employment requirements are met
o Liaise with other departments or functions (payroll, benefits etc.)
o Support the recruitment/hiring process by sourcing candidates, performing background checks, assisting in shortlisting, issuing employment contracts etc.
o Assist supervisors in performance management procedures
o Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events etc. and maintain the team’s agenda
o Coordinate training sessions and seminars
o Perform orientations, onboarding and update records with new hires
o Produce and submit reports on general HR activity
o Assist in ad-hoc HR projects, like collection of employee feedback
o Support other functions as assigned
o Consult with managers to discover staff requirements and specific job objectives
o Write and post job descriptions on career websites and universities boards
o Source candidates by using databases and social media
o Evaluate and screen resumes and cover letters
o Use recruiting tools like tests and assignments to assess candidates’ skills
o Conduct phone, Skype and/or in-person interviews
o Provide a shortlist of qualified candidates to hiring managers
o Help the hiring team with recruiting methods and interview questions
o Attend job fairs and careers events
Required Qualifications
o Proven work experience as a HR Coordinator or Recruiter
o Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources, or similar field of study
o Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices
o Strong ability in using MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
o Proven work experience as a Recruiting coordinator or recruiter
o Strong written and verbal communication skills
o Ability to prioritize and complete projects within deadline
o Solid knowledge of HR policies and best practices
o Hands on experience with various selection processes like phone interviews and reference checks
o Ability to conduct different types of interviews (e.g. structured, competency based and behavioral)
o Familiarity with HR databases, applicant tracking systems and candidate management systems
o Ability to use psychometric tests and other assessment tools
o Familiarity with social media, especially LinkedIn
