HR Business Partner – Engineering
The Role:
We are searching for a Human Resources Business Partner to support one of our key engineering groups. The Person:
The successful candidate will coach, advise, and facilitate conversations with AMD engineering executives on successful human capital strategies, provide business insights through org and talent analytics, and develop and drive program initiatives across the broader function. Key Responsibilities:
Business, Financial, and Industry Acuity
Keen interest in how the business works; knowledgeable in standard methodologies, trends, and information affecting his/her business and organization; knows the competition.
Interpersonal, Communication and Advising Skills
Complete key human capital initiatives such as leadership development, coaching, global recruiting, and rewards and recognition in collaboration with COEs
Partner and team with colleagues inside and outside of HR to innovate, improve, align, and drive the efficiency of enterprise-wide HR programs and initiatives.
Drive pay-for-performance including salary planning, promotions, resource planning, and talent calibration
Act as an advisor to business leaders on issues relating to policy interpretation and employee relations
Facilitate strategic off-sites to drive the people strategies that enable positive business impact
Organizational Diagnostics, Analytics, and Problem Solving
Analyze and communicate insights using the HR Dashboard and the key talent metrics to provide guidance to the business
Be responsible for the analysis and interpretation of engagement survey results, identify trends, and collaborate with leaders to create and implement action plans
Captures and explores information, finds patterns, and solves problems
Organizational Change
Assists people and the organization in moving to new ways of thinking and/or operating
Drives communication and organizational change plans that ensure appropriate pre-wiring and alignment with key partners and are thoughtfully executed to mitigate risk and drive positive employee engagement
Preferred Experience:
8+ years preferred of multifaceted HR experience with 5 years of recent HR Business Partner experience
Experience supporting Engineering teams in a fast-paced environment
Validated analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research, assess, validate, and interpret data in a way that naturally creates an accurate narrative
Ability to work in a sophisticated, global, matrixed organization and engaging partners and leading expectations as required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with high proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills with the ability to interact effectively across functions and at various levels within the organization
Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable leading multiple concurrent assignments with shifting priorities
Attention to detail and high standards for precision in deliverables and execution
An appetite for creative problem-solving and continuous improvement
Academic Credentials:
Bachelor’s degree in HR or similar subject area preferred
