World Wide Leader in Automotive wiring connectors and electronic components is seeking Logistic Manager for their Rochester, MI location.
Salary up to $120,000 based off experience.
The Logistics Manager assures the efficient operation of the total supply chain, the administrative tasks, process definition and control of same, organization and control of internal plant logistics such as warehouse, production flow, production scheduling, shipping, and manage relations with suppliers, customers, to ensure annual business objectives are achieved.
Duties of Logistics Manager
– Responsible for integrating, managing and interpreting sales forecasts and customer’s orders, to deliver a stable production plan and scheduling internal plant activities to ensure all customer deliveries are achieved as planned.
– Responsible for maintaining optimum Inventory levels in line with defined stock policies, ordering and scheduling materials from suppliers based on sales forecasts and customer requirements schedules.
Logistics Manager activities
– Liaison with internal & international counterparts regarding logistics concepts.
– Local Project management of planning, procuring and installation of Automated High Density Warehouse (High-Bay), in close co-ordination with the German project team.
– Project participation in the introduction of SAP-S/4 Hana, SAP-EWM, BW for KKS-A.
– Participation and support of local traceability project “Hydra”
– Manage and plan all plant resources to ensure the optimum efficiency and effectiveness of manpower materials and machinery.
– Manage the material for product launches and ramp ups that will occur based on inputs from program managers and ensuring that materials are scheduled in a timely manner to support SOP dates.
– Manage and track plant production capacities (0 to 3 month horizon) and work with production and engineering departments to define solutions where bottlenecks arise.
– Responsible for managing the customer shipping programs and achieve the customer delivery ratings for the plant within the defined targets.
– Manages resolution of delivery problems with all customer plants and vendors.
– Negotiate with suppliers, transport costs with freight carriers for inbound and outbound freight as well as all capital equipment and services required within logistics.
– Liaison with international counterparts regarding inter-company and inter-departmental logistics issues.
