Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced biller to join our team at a growing medical practice! The ideal candidate will be dependable, have up to date knowledge of physician billing and a willingness to learn.
· Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and billing and collections policies in order to facilitate attainment of accounts receivable (AR) targets.
· Champions revenue cycle improvements throughout the organization including working with appropriate individuals including medical records, billing, denial management, etc., to aid in the resolution of identified revenue cycle issues.
· Monitors and makes decisions regarding the value and collectability of accounts receivables. Makes recommendations and procedures to keep Days of Revenue in AR at acceptable levels.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
· Regular attendance is an essential job function of this position.
· Experience working in a medical facility billing department.
· Experience in ortho or pain management billing is a plus.
Job Requirements Continued:
· Working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, code modifiers, and HCPCS codes.
· Knowledge of ERAs, EOBs.
· Knowledge of payer specific/LCD guidelines.
· Understanding of health plan benefits (deductibles, copays, coinsurance) and eligibility verification.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills.
· Excellent Customer Service skills.
· Must be a self-starter with a positive attitude and demonstrate a willingness to learn.
· Knowledge of third-party payers, HMOs, PPOs, Medicare, Medicaid, Worker’s Compensation, etc.
· Detail Oriented, Analytical, Organized with strong work ethics.
· Must be a team player and possess strong organizational and management skills.
· Must have initiative, the ability to work independently, meet specific deadlines and be flexible with work schedule priorities.
Experience:
· Aging and AR Management: 1 year (Preferred))
· Medical Billing and Coding: 1 year (Preferred)
Pay Rate: Based on experience.
