We are currently seeking a Project Accountant for a long-term temporary project. Will be a hybrid role working 3 days in the office, 2 days remote.
Requirements for the Project Accountant:
Pay $40.00 to $45.00 per hour
Responsibilities for the Project Accountant:
- Will be responsible for analyzing project performance and supporting the project teams and business operations
- Responsible for initiating the project set-ups and producing timely billing to the customers based on contracts
- Track scope of work versus the work performed
- Ensure all necessary data and support is available to prepare timely customer invoices and cash collections
- Will set up and maintain the project in the ERP systems
- Monitor the revenue recognition
- Perform monthly reconciliations of projects, revenue, unbilled AR and GL
- Generate and distribute invoices, customer statements and credit memos
- Assist with the month-end and year-end close and assist with audits
Requirements for the Project Accountant:
- BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of project accounting experience
- Experience setting up and maintaining projects from beginning to end
- Strong GAAP and revenue recognition experience
- Advanced Excel, (Vlookup and pivot functions)
- Microsoft AX or Dynamics 365 are preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication experience
