Advocate Aurora Health is seeking Pediatric Neuropsychologists to join our growing team in Wisconsin!

Improves psychological functioning of patients and their families via psycho-diagnostic and psychotherapeutic services. Assists in clinical staff education and is viewed as a clinical resource. May provide clinical supervision as directed by department/site manager. Develops treatment protocols and designs, executes outcome studies regarding treatment effectiveness.
Provides psycho-diagnostic services to patients and their families. Identifies and administers appropriate diagnostic materials. Effectively evaluates results of the tests and confers with the Medical Director on difficult issues as necessary.
Presents diagnostic results to appropriate clinical staff. Functions as a resource and provides consultation to clinical staff in the interpretation of results and its impact on the treatment plan of the patient. May provide direct clinical supervision to clinical staff, field placement and/or intern students as directed by the site/department manager or Medical Director.
Provides clinical/therapeutic services to a diverse client population. Accepts and treats all patients as identified or assigned willingly and with professionalism. Applies brief therapeutic intervention model as appropriate. Provides education to patient and family as needed.
Conducts comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, formulates and monitors individualized treatment plans and treatment interventions. Participates in multidisciplinary treatment planning and review process as a member of the treatment team. Provides case management and utilization review services for patient in his/her assigned caseload.
Provides community education and outreach, including referral, development and marketing efforts to generate new business. Assists in education and training activities designed to enhance clinical staff skills. Is a clinical resource to staff and to the community. Participates in education and training activities, both within and outside the Hospital and Aurora Behavioral Health Services.
Makes appropriate referrals to services within the Hospital and Aurora Behavioral Health Services or outside if needed. Serves as a liaison with these referral sources in coordination with other staff to insure continuity of care in discharge planning.
Actively participates in clinical supervision and peer review activities. Provides consultation with other professionals, including ongoing clinical team treatment staffing. Assists in treatment development, innovation and improvements. Participates in performance improvement activities and care management initiatives as directed.
Accurately completes all documentation responsibilities as outlined in department/service area procedures within established timelines. Documentation responsibilities include but are not limited to: treatment plans, discharge summaries, aftercare plans, records for billing, etc.
Designs and executes outcome studies for clinical effectiveness as directed.
Licenses & Certifications
Psychologist license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
Degrees
Doctorate Degree in Psychology.
Required Functional Experience
Typically requires 2 years of experience in post-doctoral clinical experience and in appropriate supervised training applying neuropsychological services in a clinical setting.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Successful completion of systematic didactic and experimental training in neuropsychology and neuroscience at a regionally accredited university. Eligibility for listing in the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology. Skilled as a generalist and has one or more specializations. Extensive knowledge and skills in the application of theory, practice and techniques of behavioral health and/or substance abuse treatment services.Ability to effectively communicate with patients and their families to modify attitudes, feelings and behaviors which are maladaptive and/or ineffectual.Demonstrated ability to function in a complex mental health delivery system.
