We are looking for a competent Underground Construction Foreman to coordinate operations and oversee workers at construction sites. As the point of reference of both workers and supervisors, they will be a key person for the completion of a project.

An Underground Construction Foreman has a solid background in the field. Their leadership skills and extensive experience have earned the ability to direct the work of others and make quick decisions. They also must be well-organized and favor safety above everything else.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
• Monitor attendance of crew
• Allocate general and daily responsibilities
• Supervise and train crew workers
• Ensure crew staffing and resources are adequate
• Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met
• Supervise the use of machinery and equipment
• Resolve problems when they arise

• Report on progress to the Project Manager

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as an Underground Construction Foreman working in telecommunications

• In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OSHA guidelines
• Understanding of sewer lateral systems
• Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to communicate and report effectively
• Problem-solving abilities

• Good physical condition and stamina
