Human Resources Assistant or Generalist
4-6-month contract for Winona MN.
Hourly Pay Rate – $21.00 – $44/hr. (based on experience).
Lodging offered if you live outside the area with a 4-day in office with 1 day working remote
Benefits after 60-days (medical, dental, vision, life, 401k)
JOB DUTIES:
This position will be responsible providing daily support and coordination to the Human Resource Department in timekeeping, training, documentation, and event planning in manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities include:
Assists with accurate timekeeping records in KRONOS for hourly employees and exports data weekly for payroll.
Monitors and tracks all plant training activities.
Maintains the hourly absence system including FMLA tracking, issuing of disciplinary paperwork, and absence records.
Prepares and issues HR reports as needed.
Performs a variety of HR administrative tasks such as recognition programs, filing, communication boards, etc.
Provide customer service to our employees regarding HR matters.
Facilitates events for the local plants such as service award program, adopt a highway, blood drives, etc.
Backs up other HR personnel as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Required Knowledge and Skill Sets:
Strong MS Excel skill
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Experience:
1-2 years’ experience
HR experience: administrative, clerical, and/or HRIS systems.
Education:
Bachelor Degree in Human Resources, or minimum of HS Diploma or GED with at least an Associate’s in a related field preferred
