Ainsley Search Group is hiring an Import and Export Manager to join a Global Manufacturing Company based in greater Philadelphia. This Import and Export Manager will lead a logistics team to streamline, plan and optimize international and domestic logistic network across regional plants, distribution centers, ports, and customers, collaborate with cross functional teams to drives process improvement and performance improvement on import and export regulation, Export compliance, Carrier performance, route planning, warehousing, and further achieve optimal logistic performance and cost saving. Responsibilities:

• to Supply Chain Director and lead a logistics team to plan, streamline and optimize domestic and international logistic network across plants, distribution centers, 3rd party warehouses, 3PL and customers.
• on customer orders, production capacities and materials level to optimize the planning of logistical routes, importation, internal transportations, further achieve JIT logistical service level and optimize logistical resources across customers, regional plants, DC, ports, etc.
• and develop relationships with customers’ logistic departments and managers, support effective management and negotiation of chargebacks on customer deliveries, further achieve cost control objectives and prevent unnecessary financial losses.
• sales team on contract negotiations with customers related to transportation, delivery terms, further identify cost saving opportunities.
• implement KPI and metrics on service levels, 3PL providers, manage 3PL contracts, terms, and oversee sourcing, negotiating, and onboarding new 3PL suppliers.
• and development relations with major ports, identify opportunities to optimize importation process and compliance, further improve JIT service level.
• the compliance of importation, exportation, duty drawback, tariff classifications, ensure logistic process is following relating regulations.
• closely with cross functional teams in manufacturing, supply chain, sales, overseas plants, procurements, warehouses, analyze and translate service KPI to identify opportunities of improvement, implement corrective action on logistical bottleneck and drives CI to maximize resources, efficiency, suggest improvement solutions to senior leadership and cross functional teams as needed.
• hands-on leadership, mentorship to logistics teams, plan for staffing level based on business demand and develop subordinates, establish rapport with subordinates and hold subordinates accountable as needed.

Qualifications:

• degree in business, supply chain, or related fields.
• years of experience in leadership positions overseeing logistics, import and export.
• knowledge with import and export regulation, tariff, regulation, duty drawback, chargeback, intermodal, TL, LTL, trucking, port operations.
• ability to work independently and make difficult decisions, strong problem-solving skills.
• communication and people skills, ability to lead and influence people, ability to establish relations with customers and internal customers.
• to provide hands-on leadership, excellent in strategic planning and critical thinking.
