As an Accounts Receivable Analyst supporting US business, you will be trusted to serve as the main contact managing overall collections/performance of the assigned Accounts Receivable (AR) portfolio. This position will communicate with customers regularly via telephone and email for receivables management and revenue protection efforts. In this role, a typical day will include:
- Supporting reduction of bad debt expense through proactive collection of outstanding receivables in accordance with terms and conditions of contracts, customer payment terms, etc.
- Identifying & analyzing root cause of disputes / deductions, while actively participating in resolution & prevention
- Conducting Account Reconciliation; Monitoring payment performance and financial liquidity of existing customers
- Administering established credit policies and standards, preparing analysis of customer accounts, and resolving disputed accounts receivable balance
- Collaborating with customers to improve AR performance and sets up special credit arrangements and payment schedules with Management/Sr. Analyst oversight
- Managing all customer reconciliations and reporting needs that are requested by customer base
- Partnering closely with the customer base and commercial team to establish a strong, working relationship; partnering with U.S. Customer Operation teams to resolve disputes
- Proactively working with AR leadership team to identify high risk accounts before they become an issue
- Providing support to cash application team as needed for proper application of payment
- Supporting month-end close/reporting/compliance requirements for Credit & AR
- Supporting Franchise programs and product launches as needed
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +8 yrs;Assoc.+4 yrs)
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong analytical skills; excellent communication and attention to detail
- Collaborative and proactive team member
- Experience with ERP & CRM tools, such as SAP and Salesforce, a plus
