Job Description
The Human Resources Manager will work onsite in our Baltimore, MD headquarters as a member of the Human Resources team. The person in this role will be responsible for working directly with the Director of Human Resources & Talent Management. The objective of this position will be to oversee the daily operations of the HR department. This role is a great opportunity for someone interested in managing an HR department and the entirety of its functions, as well as working directly with senior-level staff.

A Day in the Life:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the HR department
• Develop and implement HR processes for better employee engagement and retention
• Plan, develop, and implement new HR policies
• Oversee existing policies in the areas of training, compensation, compliance, and benefits to attract and retain employees
• Effectively communicate and interpret HR policies and procedures
• Work closely with hiring directors and other senior leaders to construct and implement a talent strategy and other personnel-related decisions
• Stay up-to-date on local, state, and federal employment laws to remain compliant
• Create and submit annual personnel reporting such as EEO-1 reports, AAP reporting, benefits consensus, etc.
• Oversee the recording and maintenance of employee information pertaining to personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data, performance reviews, etc.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to drive employee engagement and training strategies
• Prepare documentation and handle unemployment claims, filings, and appeals
• Perform or assist in HR-related audits
• Help supervise other areas in the HR department
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need:

• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an HR Manager in a small, fast-growing company
• Experience working as an HR Manager in a small to midsize company preferred

Desired Skills:

• Experience with HRIS & ATS systems, preferably BambooHR
• Experience with G Suite for business
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
• Ability to drive projects to completion in challenging circumstances
• Ability to facilitate discussion, identify, and implement alternatives or different approaches
• Ability to collaborate with other departments
• Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills
• Self-motivated and able to work under minimal direction
