Job Responsibilities:

• Manages the activities of the HR Service Center, including but not limited to:
  • Supervising HR Shared Services team.
  • Develop individual Team Members and embed culture of collaboration and continuous development within the team.
  • Issue resolution.
  • Process management, including documentation, continuous improvements, and managing audits.
  • Ticket auditing and SLA monitoring in HR ticketing system (Cherwell).
  • Measuring and reviewing statistics for team activity.
  • Assisting with Workday associated process changes and reporting requests.
  • Annual EEO-1 and AAP reporting.
  • Managing labor law postings for sites and units (in partnership with dedicated vendor).
• Oversee the COVID-19 HR Operations Processes:
  • Creating and managing sustainable HR processes for the HR Shared Service team as part of the COVID-19 Rapid Response team.
  • Managing the COVID-19 Vaccination Exemption Process.
  • Staying current on state and federal laws and regulations with regards to COVID-19 requirements for employers (i.e. COVID-19 supplemental pay, vaccination requirements).
• Oversees the Leave of Absence (LOA) and Reasonable Accommodation process and administration:
  • Managing escalated LOA and reasonable accommodation issues/situations.
  • Managing LOA and reasonable accommodation processes by ensuring procedures are followed appropriately, making continuous process improvements, etc.
  • Responding to Internal company and Team Member requests for information or status regarding claims (LOA, WC, STD, LTD) and benefits.
  • Serving as liaison with HR, Payroll, Team Member’s Manager, HR Business Partner and Team Member.
  • Staying current on state and federal leave of absence laws and regulations.
  • Documenting processes as needed.
  • Serve as back-up for Worker’s Compensation administration.
• Completes any additional job duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of related Human Resources experience in a medium to large multi-state organization.
• Working knowledge of FMLA, CFRA, PDL, ADA and other federal and state laws and regulation related to leave of absence.
• Effective communication skills, oral & written.
• Experience in Word, Excel and other applicable database programs.
• Highly organized and detail-orientated professional who can work independently.
• Problem solver that proactively identifies ways to improve.
• Positive, flexible and caring personality, who displays good judgement, inspires confidence and handles confidential matters with discretion.
• Demonstrates effective communication skills will all levels of the organization to ensure all parties understand their responsibilities during an individual absence.
• Ability to build credibility and trust with employees, HR and management.
• Demonstrates good judgement by anticipating the consequences of actions and weighing multiple, sometimes conflicting priorities.
• Working knowledge of HRIS systems.

• PHR, CEBS, CBP, or other HR certification.
• 4 years of Leave of Absence Administration experience in a medium to large multi-state organization.
• Experience managing a team.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Workday experience.
