What will your day look like?

The Account Services Representative is responsible for processing high volumes of work requests through mail and e-mail channels. Work involves routine difficulty in opening new credit union accounts, checking/savings, certificates, IRAxe2x80x99s, Trusts, and UTMA accounts. The incumbent serves as a primary point of contact for deceased account processing, and tax reporting. Resources to do the job require reliance on knowledge of credit union policies and procedures. Immediate supervision is received from the Supervisor of Account Services.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest level of service to Alliant Credit Union internal and external customers.
• Ability to handle multiple functional tasks while ensuring productivity and quality.
• Process death notification entries and daily deceased reporting.
• Ensure all follow up requested documentation is received from surviving beneficiaries.
• Processes ownership changes including adding or deleting joint owners, beneficiary designation, and address change requests.
• Index confidential documents using workflow management and perform quality control of required documents.
• Processes member correspondence related to account research, general inquiries, verification of deposit and statement requests.
• Participate and respond to Business Risk inquiries and assist with business remediation efforts.
• Conduct root cause analysis, create summaries and/or process documents detailing remediation activities.
• Uses sound judgement to identify and escalate issues to Management as necessary.
• Identifies, researches, and analyzes transaction history to adjust and correct memberxe2x80x99s accounts to make the necessary adjustment on share and loans as requested.
• Ensure department procedures are maintained and up to date.
• Update Knowledge Base as appropriate based on remediation outcomes.
• Identify continuous operational improvement opportunities and service efficiency initiatives; recommend solutions, and champion the implementation of agreed upon changes with management support.

Adhere to and ensure compliance of all business transactions with policy and process of the Bank Secrecy Act. Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, company procedures and policies. Maintains integrity and ethics in all actions and conversations with or regarding credit union members and their accounts; complies with Privacy Act directives.

Qualifications

Youxe2x80x99ll be a great fit if in addition to the completion of a high school degree or equivalent required, (Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree preferred), and you have:

• Minimum 2+yearsxe2x80x99 experience in customer or internal service-focused role
• Deep functional knowledge of operations product offerings, policies, procedures and processes
• Ability to use a continuous improvement approach to enhance intra-departmental processes
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Highly effective organizational and collaborative skills
• Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and the Internet
• Previous financial institution experience preferred
