Job Description:

• Keep current in subject matter knowledge and learning theory and is willing to share this knowledge for the continual improvement of the Spark curriculum
• Follow the established training and guidelines at Spark and able to teach 1:6 ratio
• Motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge to provide an effective educational foundation, in accordance with each student’s ability
• Refine assessment practices to establish goals and objectives for students using developmentally appropriate evaluation procedures, and regularly review progress with education consultant team
• Maintain accurate and completes student records and generates monthly progress reports as required to the family
• Act as a liaison between students, parents, and education consultant
• Teach virtual sessions with the ability to work all day on Saturday and accommodate the teaching schedule on weekdays

Requirement:

• Bachelor’s Degree required with 1 year of teaching experience
• No teacher credential required but candidate must have a passion for education and mentoring students
• High SAT or ACT scores preferred; Upon hiring, candidate must pass the teacher qualification exam
• Familiar with Singapore Math Curriculum and Common Core State Standard
• Highly skilled, motivated, versatile, responsible, and dynamic individuals with strong communication skills

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $20.00 – $35.00 per hour

Experience:

• Math Teaching: 2 years (Required)
• Math Tutoring: 1 year (Preferred)
