What to Expect
In this role you will:
Collaborate with executive leadership to define the organization s long-term mission and goals; identifying ways to support this mission through talent management
Identify key performance indicators for the organization s human resource and talent management functions; assessing the organization s success and market competitiveness based on these metrics
Research, develop, and confer with executive management on competitive compensation, benefits, performance appraisal templates, and employee incentive programs
Provide guidance and leadership to all supervisors and managers on recruiting, on-boarding, developing training plans, and conducting ongoing conversations around expectations and performance
Assist with the resolution of compensation, and benefits questions, concerns, and issues
Ensure compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements
Maintain knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management
Draft and implement the organization s staffing budget and the budget for the human resource department
Participate in professional development, networking conferences, and events
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred
5+ years of human resource management experience required, with strategic, talent management, and/or business development experience highly preferred
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred
Provide proof of COVID 19 vaccination
Additional Details
Reports directly to the CEO
This is a full-time position located at the company headquarters in Madison, SD
This role would require little travel
While SBS does offer a flexible work environment, the standard days and hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CT
On rare occasions this position may require some after work hours due to workload or a tight deadline
