Working closely with a small internal operations team and in strong partnership with other people leaders in the business, this person will support rapidly-growing teams and drive continuous improvement for the culture and people of the organization. Responsibilities
Identify & implement ways to make all aspects of the employee lifecycle a delightful and supportive experience, from onboarding to offboarding and everything in between
Oversee Altvia’s recruiting efforts, including full life cycle recruiting and employer brand initiatives
Manage HR-related inquiries with sensitivity to the urgency and relevance of requests, set appropriate expectations on response time, and respond to employees with exceptional customer service
Manage and resolve complex people relations issues and areas of compliance from a legal/employment perspective
Maintain HR information systems records including new hires, transfers, promotions, terminations; audit systems for accuracy and compile reports and data as needed
Provide exceptional support, training, and guidance in areas such as performance management, employee relations, compensation, career development and leadership development, and drive the appropriate solutions in these areas
Reinforce best practices that drive team member engagement and retention
Coordinate with Payroll on compensation-related changes and issues, and provide support when necessary
Propose, lead and coordinate activities relating to employee benefits and leave of absence administration
Explore, recommend, and implement new approaches, policies and procedures to make continual improvements in efficiency and effectiveness of Altvia’s HR & internal operations
Maintain compliance with federal, state and local regulations concerning employment
What We’re Looking For
Typically, 4+ years of Human Resource Generalist experience
Excellent leadership skills with an ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively while dealing with multiple people, teams, projects, and priorities
Ability to relate to, influence and coach employees at all levels in the organization
Demonstrated ability to work professionally and discreetly with confidential information
Comfortable with ambiguity, rapidly changing environments, and occasionally building from scratch
Customer-centric, building strong working relationships with employees, managers and external parties
Able to demonstrate empathy toward employees and serve as their trusted resource
Self-driven, always prioritizing and focusing your efforts appropriately on what matters most – our People
Detail-oriented, taking pride in the quality and accuracy of your work
Proficiency in Google Apps, MS-Office software, and HRIS technology
Bonus Points
Experience with Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS)
Current certification as PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP
An advanced HR degree
