Human Resources Representative
(Full-Time, On-Site)
The on-site Human Resources Representative will support administrative, recruitment, payroll, and human resources functions for a company of approximately 35 employees. Works closely with the CFO, COO and Operations for compliance. Supports the Controller and President in facilitating internal investigations and implementing policy and administrative functions within the company. Assists employees with questions and fosters a positive meaningful work environment.
Description
Administering compensation and benefit plans
Employee onboarding terminations
Updating job descriptions
Talent acquisition and recruitment
Uses ADP Workforce Now to process semi-monthly payroll
Organizing training and development initiatives
Organizing employee recognition programs
Providing support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolving any issues that may arise
Confidentially handles all employee relations
Promoting HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
Assisting in the development and implementation of human resource policies
Gathering and analyzing data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates
Organizing quarterly and annual employee performance reviews
Maintaining employee files and records in electronic and paper form
Enhancing job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits, and organizing team-building activities
Ensuring compliance with State and Federal labor law regulations
Background and MVR checks (pre-employment and every 2 years thereafter)
Monthly OIG checks
Drafting company-wide memos and correspondence
Updating employee handbooks, ORG charts and labor law posters
Updating Covid policies, staying updated on county mandates, and receiving daily temperatures from employees
Ability to travel to Compton office 1-2 times per month
Requirements
AA/bachelor’s in business administration, Human Resources, or related field
Minimum of two years of human resources generalist experience preferred
Bi-Lingual Spanish preferred
Understanding of human resources policies and procedures
Knowledgeable in State and Federal Labor Laws such as; EDD, LOA, FMLA, ADA, EEO and Workers Compensation
PHR, SHRM certification preferred
ADP Workforce Now experience preferred (semi-monthly payroll)
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
Experience with open enrollment and 401k initiatives
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Ability to travel to Compton office 1-2 times per Month
