Within the Amazon Devices group, the Pre-Owned business team offers the consumers a world class Trade-In experience, the Pre-Owned devices supporting our Sustainability goals. The Head of the Operations for this business will lead the Vendor strategy, own the customer experience in our offline channels and build the recycling and last mile capabilities. This person will manage a team that is responsible for these experiences, operations globally.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable with all aspects of general business management and understands the diverse perspectives of stakeholders and works with them to resolve differences. You will need to be able to prioritize effectively, and communicate clearly and persuasively. This person is able to drive focus and excellence within the programs they own, with their business counter parts and colleagues across the Amazon organization. You will be at the center of activity and will need to lead multiple teams through your actions and direction.
You possess a unique blend of business, operations and technical savvy; a big-picture vision as well as the drive and attention to detail that transforms vision into a reality. You must enjoy working with other stakeholders to understand their needs, and to define innovative solutions.
Key job responsibilities
· MBA preferred
· Experience in e-commerce, consumer electronics or technology sector
· Entrepreneurial spirit / ability to try different things with minimal direction
· Experience working cross-functionally across Product Management, Technical, Operations and Finance
· Analytical thinker: able to drive metrics and benchmarks to ensure continuous improvement in process and results
· Superior communication skills and clear customer focus
· Quick decision maker – ability to take initiative and produce results under tight timing
