About OpsTech IT
The Global OpsTech IT Network Operation Center (NOC) team is responsible for 24X7 monitoring the infrastructure and will serve as an initiator for all High Severity Events (HSEs), Multiple Severity Events (MSEs), and Large Scale Events (LSEs). Your peers will be system and software support engineers working to ensure Fulfillment Center systems are healthy and available to meet customer demands. About The Role
As a Network Operation Center Engineer on the Global OpsTech IT Network Operation Center (NOC) team you will also serve as a central monitoring location for the OpsTech IT supported sites, IT and non-IT systems impacting Operations. You will have knowledge in evaluation of network performance, detailed knowledge in Server functions. In this role you will have the opportunity to participate in solutions to business problems that are truly unique to Amazon. This is a global team and strong communication skills are a must. This role will contribute and build a support and process model which will impact Amazon at a global level.

Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:

• Monitor, analyze, track and escalate critical events
• Invoke protocol alerting
• Swift assignment to support organization
• Correlate multiple events
• Lead proactive investigations
• Implement changes to avert future risk
• Assist in process improvements for Global Operations Teams

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• High School or equivalent diploma
• 3+ years IT experience with client, server, and network service delivery
• 4+ years of hands on IT systems or relevant experience in a commercial production environment
• 4+ years of experience with networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, and TCP/IP
• 4+ years of experience in each of the following: Microsoft Administration, Linux Administration, or Cisco IOS (CLI)
• 4+ years of experience troubleshooting skills in a multi-user high availability environment
• 4+ years of experience in PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment, and liquidation

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or IT related field
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert and Microsoft Certified IT Professional Systems Administrator Certifications
• Strong troubleshooting skills of very complex systems
• Ability to explain complex IT concepts in simple terms
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage high priority projects

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $59,100 – $103,500 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
