Amego, Inc., is in search of a qualified and resourceful Human Resources Generalist to support our HR department in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. The ideal candidate is an experienced professional with a strong background in employment law, state and federal laws surrounding leave of absence and FMLA, benefits eligibility criteria and performance management. The HR Generalist will provide support and guidance to employees and managers,

The successful candidate will possess the ability to navigate a highly matrixed environment to ensure consistent application of employment policies and practices throughout the agency. Additionally, the successful candidate must have the ability to work collaboratively on teams, and consult effectively and independently with all levels of the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive):

· Support and overseeing the leave of absence process and working with third party vendors for approvals and communications

· Support the recruiting department throughout the lifecycle of onboarding new hires

· Overseeing and managing the background check and fingerprinting process and ensuring regulatory compliance in all hiring practices

· Provide input and guidance to managers and other staff regarding best practices in regards to all HR transactions including onboarding, new hires, benefits, transfers and promotions, leave of absence, performance management and other transactional requirements

· Assist with special projects, provide backup to team members, and other duties as they are assigned

· Suggest new procedures and policies to continually improve efficiency of the HR department and organization as a whole and to improve the employee experience

· Assist in administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least three (3) to five (5) years of experience in Human Resources, unionized environment or non-profit a plus

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; PHR / SHRM certification preferred or in process of obtaining

• Knowledge of the principles and practices of Human Resource Management, FMLA and state and federal leave laws

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and persuade others without direct authority

· Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills

• Record of maintaining accurate records and exercising discretion in handling confidential information

• Thoroughness, independence and excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills

• Proficient usage of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook; UltiPro (UKG) experience preferred but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
