The Electronics Technician, Maintenance I, under supervision, performs simple and routine tasks or tests within, but not necessarily limited to a prescribed area of expertise. Duties will be varied but the majority of the work will be assembly/disassembly of electronic equipment.
Essential Responsibilities:
Applies basic technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks following detailed instructions Performs such tasks as replacing components, wiring circuits, repairing simple electronic equipment Taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes Works under close supervision receiving technical guidance from supervisor or higher-level technician. Issues and receives all Fleet Equipment for rotational training Assists with the installation, fabrication, modification and operation of test equipment used on special projects. Operates a variety of computer systems to assist in the collection and compilation of data. Performs a wide variety of duties in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic systems. Tests electronic circuits and components to locate and replace defective components using appropriate electronic test equipment and hand tools. Maintains parts inventory, technical documentation and record of repairs. Assists with maintenance, troubleshooting, and overhaul of repair of equipment. Provide miscellaneous technical and non-technical support as required or directed. Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
