As part of the Human Resources team, we support AEP leaders and employees as they transform our business through a focus on people related practices. This role is part of the Talent Management team.

Essential Job Functions:
Leads AEP’s strategic workforce planning process across the organization in partnership with others Human Resources employees
Develops and improves AEP’s strategic workforce planning process tools and resources
Benchmarks workforce planning trends and advancements to continuously improve processes, practices, and tools, including scanning for internal and external best practices
Markets strategies, solutions, and tools internally
Partners with other Human Resources groups on pipeline development, business unit workforce needs, workforce development solutions and training, workforce data and analytics, and strategic work planning and alignment, etc.
Mentors fellow employees, and assumes other duties as required
Requirements
NOTE: This position will be filled at the level commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate as compared to the minimum requirements listed below.
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Development, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Economics, or related field, and 4 years of experience in one or more aspects of workforce planning; or Associate’s Degree in listed fields with 6 years of experience; or High School Diploma/GED with 8 years of experience. 3 additional years of experience required for consideration at senior level, in addition to any years of experience previously listed.
Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver’s license required.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS – ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Some travel (less than 10%) may be necessary.
