About AIM Elementary
American International Montessori School applies Japanese and Mandarin language immersion to traditional Montessori methods. We strive to embody the Montessori philosophy of peace education through globalism and cultural exchange. Our team of experienced, dedicated Montessorians operates as an open-collective of innovative educators. AIM Elementary has a growing program of students from 1st through 6th year; ages 6 to 12.
About the Position:
We are seeking a Lower Elementary English teacher to welcome onto our team for the 2022-2023 academic year. This candidate will partner with our highly experienced multi-lingual Montessorians through a team-teaching approach to education. Our new teacher will both expand and enrich our Upper Elementary curriculum to meet the needs of our rapidly growing classroom.
Ideal Candidates should:
– have a warm, confident disposition and genuine enthusiasm for working both with students and parents to build a strong community
– be a team player: someone who enjoys collaborative work has an open and empathetic demeanor and excels at listening and communication
– have an appreciation and understanding of a multi-lingual and multi-cultural educational setting
– have a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience as an English teacher, be responsible for ensuring that students learn proper grammar, writing, and reading comprehension.
– be able to teach the US. History
– be comfortable working with students of different levels
Salary is commensurate with experience.
