American Rheinmetall Vehicles (ARV), in Sterling Heights, MI, delivers next generation capability, technology and competition to high priority United States modernization programs. Leveraging the global portfolio of Rheinmetall’s Vehicle Systems Division, ARV provides advanced tracked and wheeled combat vehicles and tactical wheeled vehicles. Job Summary:
The Buyer is a key role within the Supply Chain team and is responsible for the competitive procurement of a variety of products and services to support overall operations and strategic metrics, with a particular focus on quality, cost, and timing to meet ARV and customer needs. This role is in direct support to the Program Management and Engineering teams developing critical Combat Vehicle systems. As well, this person will be key in arranging logistics for ARV’s incoming and outgoing parts, both international and domestic. This process involves coordinating shipments for on time delivery to meet program milestones, and negotiating with logistics suppliers.
