Summary:
Responsible for the management and oversight of the operational support functions within the Legal Department of the Company. Responsible for Company’s Service Provider Management Program and the Insurance Tracking Program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
· Responsible for developing and implementing an expanded Service Provider Management Program for all vendors the Company engages with during the course of business, regularly or otherwise. This includes the following:
o Conduct a thorough investigation or “due diligence” of each Service Provider to verify that the Service Provider understands and complies with Federal Consumer Financial Law as well as other federal and state laws and regulations;
o Establish enforceable and appropriate consequences for Service Providers violating compliance-related responsibilities, including engaging in unfair, deceptive and abusive acts and practices;
o Develop and implement training to ensure operations and business line personnel are only working with approved Service Providers;
· Responsible for developing and implementing an Insurance Tracking Program for our customer’s vehicles based on the requirements of maintaining insurance set forth in the customer’s Retail Installment Contract. This includes the following:
o Conduct a thorough investigation into the marketplace of third-party insurance tracking and draft a proposed business plan for the incorporation of insurance tracking into the Company’s business model;
o Develop and implement the Insurance Tracking Program with appropriate reporting to monitor the program’s performance;
o Develop and implement training to ensure operations and business line personnel understand the information provided and take appropriate operational steps to ensure our customer’s vehicles are properly insured;
· Manage and/or help develop efficiencies for the operational support functions within the Legal Department including the PPP Claims Team, Loss Recovery and the Centralized Notice Processing.
· Assist the Chief Legal Officer with establishing performance metrics and reporting for various Legal Department functions;
· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by your direct manager.
· Follow company policies and procedures and support company mission, vision, values and standards of ethics.
· Daily attendance required to ensure all duties are completed in a timely fashion.
