Job Summary
As a Senior Recruitment Sourcing Specialist, you will provide expert advice to the Recruitment Sourcing Specialists, AAWDC management, Anne Arundel County Businesses, and other AAWDC Partners to design and implement effective sourcing strategies; drive attraction campaigns; execute sourcing strategy; and plan a focused approach on sourcing niche candidates. As the Senior Recruitment Sourcing Specialist, you will work closely with Anne Arundel County businesses to screen and present qualified candidates, collaborate with the Business Solutions Team and other AAWDC departments to develop innovative solutions for Anne Arundel County businesses’ human capital pipelines. The Senior Recruitment Sourcing Specialist will also assist in developing recruitment strategies for workforce initiatives and apprenticeship programs. Additionally, participate in the recruitment process for the AAWDC organization. Reporting to the Business Solutions Manager, you will be responsible for driving best practice sourcing strategies and strive to be an ambassador for the AAWDC brand at every interaction.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
• Serves as the subject matter expert for industry-specific workforce trends, regional and national labor markets, best practices, and business demographics with external and internal stakeholders.
• Work with business representatives at all levels, develops and cultivates strong partnerships and provides solutions with industry-specific employers.
• Analyzes and interprets data related to industry employment trends and opportunities.
• Responsible for the implementation and management of grants that respond to and solve industry-specific workforce challenges.
• Participates in business, community, and/or industry panels and partnerships to identify trends, current and future staffing needs, and job skills and training requirements within the industry.
• Responsible for providing the technical skills and business knowledge necessary for the execution of Work-based Learning Programs.
• Fosters ongoing partnerships with the AAWDC staff, apprenticeship programs, businesses, and others to develop and maintain a pipeline of employees and eligible program participants.
• Collaborates with internal and external partners to increase employment and training opportunities with an emphasis on retention, career pathways, and apprenticeships.
• Works in conjunction with other AAWDC programs/initiatives in developing employment and training strategies and maintains knowledge of job-ready pipelines.
• Utilizes databases to record and track partner interactions and business transactions.
• Any additional duties assigned by the Industry Solutions Manager or Vice President of Business and Industry Solutions.
Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience providing workforce or business development and/or
industry-specific experience.
• 2-3 years professional experience in recruiting.
• Project Management Coursework/training (preferred).
• Ability to work in a positive environment and be coachable.
• Capability to articulate the organization’s models, processes, and values.
• Strong business driven focus and communication skills including empathetic listening, clear and
accurate writing, and persuasive oral communication.
• Skills to identify gaps/problems, develop comprehensive creative solutions, and create value for
industry-specific issues.
• Business development and networking skills.
• Commitment to innovation, collaboration, excellence, teamwork, and creating value for clients.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Work Environment
• General office environment
• General office hours are Monday through Friday 8:30am- 4:30pm, with flexibility to fulfill 35 hours per week. This schedule may vary depending on program needs.
• Position may require evening and weekend hours as determined by departmental needs.
• Position may require some travel within the local community and occasionally out of state.
• Position may qualify for telework, dependent on departmental and organizational needs.
Physical Demands
• This position requires movement about the inside the office to access files, office machinery etc.
• This position requires ability to move (with assistance) tables weighing up to 50 pounds.
• This position requires the ability to move chairs up to 15 pounds without assistance.
