Join us and together we will drive the future of health care.This is an exceptional opportunity to do innovative work that means more to you and those we serve at one of America’s leading health care companies and a Fortune Top 50 Company.Corporate Communications Specialist IIResponsible for providing internal and/or external communications support by anticipating, preparing for, and managing moderately complex corporate communications issues for one or more of the following functions: internal communications, issues management, social responsibility, executive communications, multi-media, social media, reporting to Corporate Communications department.Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:- Researches, develops, and edits moderately complex communications materials.- Supports the development and implementation of a strategic communications plan and related initiatives.- Coordinates submissions, drafts layouts and coordinates production with the print vendors.- May lead some departmental assignments and workload and/or provide guidance to lower level associates.Work location – Anthem office in one of the following states: Connecticut, Georgia, Indiana, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, VirginiaQualifications Requires a BA/BS in Communications, Journalism, or a related field; 3 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and social media experience are strongly preferred.- Experience working in the managed care / healthcare insurance industry a plus, but not required.- Advertising agency experience a plus.Please note: There are two openings on this requisition. One opening will be focused on technology and digital areas.
