Plant Manager
Duties and responsibilities include formulating policies, managing daily operations, and planning the use of materials and human resources.
Is skilled in dispute resolution and has the leadership skills needed to keep employees focused and working toward mutual goals.
Anticipates problems and puts policies in place to deal with them when or if they do happen.
Keeps the company’s daily activities going smoothly. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Responsible for a variety of activities, not all of which come up on a day-to-day basis. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Primary Responsibilities
Establish and direct plant policies and procedures.
Direct and coordinate plant operations within company policies and procedures.
Maintain a clean and safe plant.
Responsible for plant production goals
Foster a well-trained and motivated staff.
Coordination of purchasing, production, and shipping
Responsible for establishing all shift production schedules
Select and train plant supervisors and plant staffing.
Conduct employee performance reviews
Schedule and conduct plant meetings.
Responsible for product quality
Establish and maintain a positive community relationship
Other duties as assigned
