Aqua Metals believes that the only path to achieving global emissions targets is a combination of electrifying transportation that is recharged with renewable electricity and sustainably recycling the lithium-ion batteries with renewable electricity. To that end, Aqua Metals is developing cleaner metals recycling that can deliver high-value raw materials back into the battery manufacturing supply chain while reducing emissions and waste streams, and creating safer work environments.
We are the only company that has developed a commercially proven, sustainable, closed-loop metal recycling process, and Aqua Metals is applying its commercialized clean, water-based recycling technology principles to develop the cleanest and most cost-efficient recycling solution for lithium-ion batteries. Our technology will produce higher quality products at a lower operating cost without the damaging effects of furnaces, chemical waste streams, and greenhouse emissions.

SUMMARY
Our uniquely qualified Operations Manager reports to the Chief Operations Officer and will ensure safety, environmental, quality, production and financial goals on a facility-wide basis. This position will continuously improve to operate at the lowest possible manufacturing costs and provide overall direction and support to support staff. This is all in support of Aqua Metals’ mission.
Responsibilities:
· Oversee the availability of materials, flow of supplies, and manpower in all production and finishing areas to ensure the achievement of production and shipping goals.
· Oversee process re-engineering and standard of work in all departments.
· Continuously improve cost reduction and product/process improvement, i.e.: reduction of scrap and salvage cost, machine downtime, and to ensure finished quality production.
· Evaluate staff performance and periodically review results with them; assist them to meet objectives, performance standards, quality, housekeeping and all areas of their responsibilities.
· Supervise the operating departments, Shipping and Receiving, and refining to meet production requirements with quality results.
· Maintain safe working conditions and practices and operate the plant in compliance with all OSHA and other environmental regulations.
· Assist in preparing required plans, forecasts, records and reports to establish budgets to meet plant requirements and measure effectiveness.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education:
· 5 years of management experience at plant manufacturing or related industry.
· Bachelor’s degree preferred (Chemical, Mining or Electrochemical Engineering, or equivalent experience.)
· Previous experience with Design of Experiments (DOE) preferred
· Ability to safely travel domestically and internationally; ability to meet all legal, safety, and other requirements for domestic and international travel. Must have valid passport.
· Additional language skills preferred/bi-lingual or multi-lingual (not required but a plus).
