Water Engineer 2 with Arcadis U.S., Inc. (Sewickley, PA)
Plan, design and construction administration for municipal wastewater, stormwater and/or drinking water systems projects. Evaluate alternative concepts including development of design calculations and drawings, summarizing basis of design concepts in written reports and memorandums, condition assessment evaluations, CAD and GIS work, database development and spreadsheet analysis, and/or construction administration and field oversight. Prepare progress reports, participate in client meetings and field interaction with clients, contractors, subcontractors and the public. Construction inspection, sampling, asset inventory and condition assessment, and flow monitoring set-up and monitoring. Exercise judgment on details of work and in make preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives. Ensure project compliance with all company practices and quality and safety standards and facilitate coordination for timely completion and submission of projects on time and budget.
Position reports to Arcadis’ Sewickley, PA office. Position allows for remote work and occasionally requires works at regional client sites.
Qualifications & Experience:
Position requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field. Position requires experience (2 years with Bachelor’s degree OR 0 experience with Master’s degree), including some experience or education in each of the following skills: AutoCAD and GIS capabilities to support design drawing development and spatial analyses; Data and statistical analysis software, including Microsoft Excel, SQL servers and/or R; Data visualization software Tableau, PowerBI or similar; and Engineering software including MatLab, BioWin, or similar.
