Inventory Manager

Owner, Abby Hetherington, has honed her modern mountain design aesthetic and rewrites the vocabulary of mountain style by using her signature touch to harmonize an eclectic aesthetic.
Located in the historic Montana Motor Supply building in downtown Bozeman, Architect’s Wife is known for its ability to combine pieces from different design eras and styles. Every item is hand-selected from auctions, antique fairs, and favored furniture brands to provide an eclectic mix of well crafted, luxurious home furnishings. This careful curation shapes the unique retail experience of the customer who is looking for something outside of the box store norm.
We are hiring a full-time Inventory Manager for our one-of-a-kind showroom in downtown
Bozeman, MT. The ideal candidate is a motivated self starter and can work independently, but will jump in when the team needs to rally. The work pace is fun and fast but is rewarded with competitive wages, full benefits, and the occasional team field trip.
Inventory Manager Overview:
The Inventory Manager is the right hand to the Store Manager, working in tandem to ensure all products are ordered, tracked, received, and available to be merchandised on the floor or on our online store in a fluid and efficient manner. This process includes processing cash and carry product at the store as well as working closely with our off-site receiving facility to process furniture inventory. The Inventory Manager is a critical member of the team in achieving sales and growth goals.
The Inventory Manager oversees communication with vendors and logistics teams to place orders for store merchandise and custom orders for clients alike. The Inventory Manager must be able to work independently and be a self starter. You will find success in this role if you are highly organized, detail oriented, and able prioritize tasks to effectively manage workload.
Objectives of the role:

Place, track, and receive all special orders for clients Place, track and receive all store orders Work with Store Manager to review sales and manage replenishment orders for store merchandise Manage Open Order Report for all orders, claims and repairs for special orders and store orders Oversee the tracking and receiving of all products through shipment from vendor to preparing items to be merchandised on the showroom floor and the online store Work closely with Interwest to manage off site inventory including correctly cataloging and updating inventory in Windfall Work closely with Store Manager to ensure accuracy of inventory and availability of inventory on all sales channels Work closely with Store Manager, sales staff, and marketing team to increase product turn, reduce aging inventory, and eliminate shrink. Work with Store Manager and Interwest to rotate furniture inventory freshness on the showroom floor Manage logistics from vendor pick up through delivery at specified location including coordination of logistics to ensure efficient and safe transport of product Work with Controller and Store Manager to review Open Order Report (OOR) bi-weekly Provide order updates to staff weekly to ensure communication between client and sales associate with accurate order information

Work with Store Manager to record all inventory pulls for AHI installs Work with AHI Project Managers “PM” to receive any product returned from AHI projects.

(Showroom Assistance)
Cover showroom floor as needed to relieve sales associates for lunch and/or meetings Assistance with showroom flips, annual tent sale, and additional PR events. (These are long days for all team members including hired subcontractors. We try to make this fun
while working as quickly as possible to make the showroom customer ready as quickly as possible)
Attend bi-weekly store meetings and any vendor staff training Rotating Saturday, evening, and holiday availability required

Pay: $50,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
