As a Truck Driver, you play a vital role in supporting our mission of providing employment-related services to the community by participating in all areas of the departments daily operations. You will get training and experience in assessing, sorting, and handling used goods, providing exceptional customer service, loading/unloading cargo with specialized equipment, and transporting used goods between retail stores, outlets, donation centers, and the Cherrybell hub. Qualifications For a Truck Driver

The successful candidate must have one (1) year of related driving experience, ability to drive a two-ton truck, properly secure and distribute cargo, operate a forklift, and use lift gates and hand trucks. This person should have general knowledge of Southern Arizona, especially the Tucson metro area, ability to use GPS, understand and adhere to all traffic signs and have basic mechanical knowledge. Truck Drivers must be at least 21 years old, able to pass the DOT physical and drug screen, and have a valid Arizona driver license with an acceptable driving record. Experience in used goods is a plus! This person will also be dependable to work anytime within our operating hours (Department hours are 7 days a week, 9:00AM – 5:30PM).

The position requires the ability to sit and stand for long periods of time (up to 8 hours), bend, stoop, lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 pounds, reach overhead, operate manual equipment such as pallet jacks and hand-trucks to move product throughout the warehouse areas. The position also involves working in all weather conditions, with moderate noise levels.
