We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Team. We have a dynamic, friendly work environment where patient care is of the utmost importance. Our Medical Assistants function as a vital member of our team who contributes to the success of the practice by demonstrating patient focus, effective communication, professionalism and teamwork.
Candidates must be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast paced, high volume environment. The ideal candidate should have clinic experience and has a stable job history with longevity within their positions previously held.
The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but is not intended to be all inclusive:
- Serve as a patient advocate during patient exam and treatment.
- Recording medical history and confirm purpose of visit.
- Ensure proper consent forms are obtained prior to preparing patient for treatment.
- Prepares patients for examination.
- Help Physicians/ PA’s examine and treat patients, handling them instruments and materials or performing such tasks as giving injections and removing sutures.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Practice teamwork, service and respect for coworkers and patients.
- Maintain accurate patient electronic charts.
- Patient Education.
- Returning patient phone calls.
- Under provider direction, authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies.
- Collecting, documenting and delivering lab specimens.
