This position is an immediate opening in growing mental health private practice located in Rhode Island. We are looking for a motivated friendly and detail-oriented individual to manage our billing, incoming phone calls and assisting clients with inquiries. This position is a hybrid position with flexible hours.

Experience using Simple Practice and/or EHRs

1-2 years of experience as Administrative Assistant/Biller
Key responsibilities include:

• Answering and returning incoming client phone calls messages and emails
• Scheduling intake appointments and reschedule cancellations
• Send invoices for past due balances
• Communicate between clients and staff in a professional and organized manner
• Responsible for processing medical bills and insurance claims
• Processing encounters and claims in the EHR system
• Charging credit cards through a merchant services portal
• Posting payments (checks, ACH)
• Notifying patients about billing procedures and following up with them in a prompt, courteous manner
• Directing notes that need to be completed, adjusted, and/or corrected to supervisors for revision

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 – $21.00 per hour
