Come join a successful and growing company and utilize your office administrative/HR skills! The Human Resource Assistant will perform administrative tasks, services, and projects to support effective and efficient operations of the organization’s human resource department and recruiting efforts.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
· Assists in administrative portion of recruiting efforts, including: reference checking, E-Verify, background and drug screen submission, calling of candidates, scheduling first day and orientation, preparing orientation material (including handbooks), compiling documents for final approval signatures.
· Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.
· Maintains and checks job postings on Indeed and LinkedIn; routes to appropriate person and collects data for weekly reporting.
· Assists in company COVID protocol procedures, including taking and returning calls, maintaining updated spreadsheet
· Works with new hourly hires to complete required paperwork on first day
· Records Management and filing. Updates and maintains the integrity of specific human resource files and records.
· Support benefits administration, FMLA, COBRA, Unemployment and Worker’s Compensation as needed.
· Assists in benefit enrollments, changes, and communications as needed
· Assists with planning and execution of special events, including Job Fairs.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
· MUST BE ABLE TO HANDLE HIGHLY CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION
Requirements:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
· Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
Education and Experience:
· Minimum 2 years Human Resources and/or related office experience
· High School degree; Associate or Bachelors preferred
· Experience with HRIS systems and/or conversions a plus but not requirement
· Bi-lingual abilities also a plus
