What you will do
Under direction, in this role, you will perform human resource support for all HR processes with a concentration in new hires, employee record maintenance and administrative support. Impacts key quality goals including customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, timeliness, accuracy, efficiency, cost savings, process quality, etc. Provides support in the functional areas of the Human Resource department, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.
How you will do it
Regular attendance is necessary to perform essential duties
Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
Completes, verifies I-9 documentation, and e-verify and maintains compliance of I-9 forms and employee files.
Assists with new hire process to include, but not limited to: coordinating start date and employee schedule, new hire announcement and onboarding preparation.
Assists with employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Updates employee profiles to document personnel action and provide information to authorized persons.
Assists in recruiting efforts: reviews resumes, maintains recruiting log, schedules interviews, emails all needed communications to candidates and interviewing managers and supervisors, reserves conference room, prepares and maintains all interviewing materials.
Notifies and coordinates employee new hire goals, ninety-day checkpoints and performance evaluation with managers.
Assist with processing pre-employment activities such as employment verifications, background checks, drug screens, and eligibility requirements to ensure company compliance.
Maintains employee data and provides clerical support to Human Resources Manager.
Manages employee file maintenance and audits, files documents into appropriate employee files.
Assists HR Coordinator with day-to-day related tasks; mail or FedEx items, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
Manages follow-up with new hires, terminations, employee changes for successful completion.
Performs a variety of responsible office support work such as composing confidential correspondence.
Performs additional assignments per manager’s direction.
What we are looking for
High School diploma or GED
1-2 years of administrative experience required
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems
Basic knowledge of the Human Resource laws and practices
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet designated deadlines is critical
Intermediate knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Ability to interact with a host of different personalities
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to work Monday through Friday, 30-40 hours with full benefits
