ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF FINANCE
Job Title: Assistant Director of Finance (or “Assistant Director”)
Department: City Hall – Administration
Reports to: Director of Finance
Compensation: Salary – Exempt Starting $78, 566 Annualized – DOQ
General Description: The Assistant Director performs highly advanced and managerial (senior-level) accounting work. Work includes the preparation of and overseeing the preparation of financial analyses and financial statements; developing, establishing, maintaining, and overseeing accounting systems, procedures, and controls; preparing and overseeing the preparation of the City budgets; administering the purchasing and procurement procedures; accounting, budgeting, and reconciling for grants and contracts; and reviewing transactions, procedures, and controls. Works under minimal supervision with extensive latitude for initiative and independent judgment.
