Description:
The Corporate Human Resources Manager executes people initiatives, provides internal customer support and drives HR excellence and process improvement. Develops and implements human resources policies, programs and services, for the purpose of recruitment, selection, retention, legal compliance, regulatory assurance, employee benefits, employee relations, employee communications and employee events. Supervises and develops HR staff.

• Lead and execute key initiatives that support operational strategies.
• Maintain current knowledge of labor laws and other regulatory compliance for the supervision of payroll administration.
• Advise management to ensure company compliance with federal, state and local laws related to employee benefits, compensation, employment and training. Remain current with changes in human resources and employment law and manage company relationships with state and local regulatory agencies.
• Responsible for strategic preparedness and development for all employee legal matters including their defense along with proper record retention necessary to support any defense.
• Guide leaders and employees regarding company policies, core values, HR programs administration, and compliance with federal, state and local laws.
• Ensures HR is providing customer-oriented service to the business in all HR related areas.
• Oversees investigations of workplace policy violations and employee relations issues and make recommendations regarding resolution of those violations and issues
• Review with managers and advise on courses of action in the area of employee discipline and terminations.
• Understand the business operation from both a strategic and tactical perspective.
• Coordinate and recommend staffing strategies to identify talent within and outside the Company.
• Participate in recruitment, interview, selection and negotiation of offers to candidates.
• Responsible for wage and salary surveys by working with compensation consultants.
• Develop with management/supervisors specific requirements of individual jobs for the creation and oversight of job descriptions.
• Manage the human resource information system databases and necessary reports for analysis of HR metrics including key performance indicators to assess and improve HR services.
• Plan, organize and control all activities of the HR Department, including supervising department staff, developing department goals, establishing SOP’s, and suggesting infrastructure changes as needed.
• Plan, prepare, recommend and deliver management training in cooperation with other departments as related to improvements desired by department managers.
• Develop companywide programs to improve organizational health and community awareness.
• Recommend programs to CFO and/or President/CEO for improving the workplace moral and social interaction of all employees in an effort to create a positive working environment for the whole company.
• Participates in project teams and other management committees as requested.
• Performs other duties as assigned by CFO or President/CEO.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• A minimum of 10 years of Human Resources Management experience required with at least 4 years strategic experience in a multi-site capacity preferred.
• Experience practicing HR in a manufacturing environment with 150+ employees preferred.
• Experience in a rapid and complex changing work environment preferred.
• Extensive experience with all of the core aspects of Human Resource Management (staffing; employee relations; labor relations; performance management; leadership development; training, benefits, policies).
• Strong talent management and succession planning experience.
• Proven ability in effective decision making.
• Courage to recommend tough decisions and deliver difficult messages with professionalism and poise.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous business situations.
• Strong expertise in developing solutions based upon facts/data analytics.
• Must be self motivated with a strong desire to excel and drive results.
• Must possess consultative style and approach with proven ability to develop successful relationships with leaders and employees.
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present their point of view in varied business situations.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects with overlapping tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong skills in PowerPoint/Excel/Word and HRIS
