Description:
The Human Resource Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Job Duties
-Implement standard Human Resource strategy including standard policies, planning procedures and practical implementation guidelines.
-Implement main functions for HRM according to a confirmed HR strategy, including HR Administration, Recruitment, Compensation & Benefits, HR Policy -Development, Personnel Relations, Personnel Training & Development, and HR Compliance within standard HR scope.
-Implement best practice HR administration processes complying to the company’s international and regional requirements.
-Plan, budget and implement personnel growth to sustain business demands.
-Manage vendors for recruitment, payroll, legal and training activities.
-Act as internal HR service provider and ensure compliant implementation HR policies across departments.
-Handle staff complaints and resolve HR related problems.
-Conduct job interviews.
-Ensure compliance of employment contracts with the regional legal frameworks.
-Carry out workplace evaluations and changes in compensation.
-Compile human resource statistics to be used by line managers and executive management.
-Regular communication and information to functional and disciplinary heads.
-Work closely with Plant Management to administer HR policies and procedures.
-Develop Human Resources department and processes and establish systems for measuring HR performance and effectiveness in line with Client’s standards.
-Monitor measure and report on HR issues and development opportunities.
-Communicate with department and plant managers to understand all necessary department and company needs, and to ensure all managers are fully informed of HR objectives and purpose.
-Maintain awareness and knowledge of latest HR development theories, methods, applicable laws and policy changes.
-Audit and maintain all documents and files related to employees, legal documents, salary statements, etc.
-Participate in employee and management meetings (Lead meetings as needed).
-Responsible for monthly reporting of overtime, overtime cost, employee headcount, employee turnover, etc.
-Coordinate, document and track internal/external training.
-Responsible for internal development programs.
-Prepare and associated liabilities.
-Administer employee benefit plans and lead annual benefits enrollment.
-Administer COBRA, FMLA, STD, LTD, Workers Comp, etc.
-Lead and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, document actions.
-Investigate and document all internal claims.
-Represent at unemployment hearings.
-Provide necessary employee documentation for State and Federal government agencies.
-Administer yearly performance review and maintain documentation.
-Develop and maintain positive employee relations.
-Develop employee retention strategies.
-Provide and implement continuous improvement and cost saving ideas.
-Support Safety Coordinator with reporting and incident tracking

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or other related field. Master’s degree a plus
Certification preferred: PHR or SHRM Certification
And:
At least 8 years relevant working experience in an HR generalist function within a manufacturing company
Extensive practical working knowledge of best practice HR processes and tools
Experience communicating with external stakeholders.
Knowledge and understanding of employment legislation (Labor Code)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to allow interaction with employees, customers, vendors and management on a professional level.
Good computer skills including Office, Internet, ERP; SAP
Good knowledge and understanding of HRIS systems.
Excellent planning and coordination skills.
