Description: 3 Month Assignment with Potential of Permanent Onboarding!

• This position is responsible for coordinating the shipment of company goods directed by the Shipping Supervisor
• Typical duties include processing orders for shipping, booking loads into transport site, entering shipping data into SAP into the delivery system, recording accurate data and processing end of day by posting goods that shipped
• Maintaining accurate records daily
• Applies knowledge of domestic and international shipping guidelines regarding packing, loading, and transporting
• Notifies carriers to arrange for merchandise pick up and working directly with customers for customer order pickups
• Working with the sales and customer service department to provide daily order details and shipping quotes as needed
• Completes shipping orders received from the shipping clerks, reviews information on Pick sheets to ensure accuracy
• Works with the Sales/Customer Service or other departments as needed to resolve any shipping issues
• Sends and receives shipping quotes with logistics providers and broker
• Communicates order information with external customers, including shipping quotes, collection dates and timing, order resolution requests, inventory and other shipping related items
• Works as a back up to picking and packing process according to customer orders
• Selects cartons and containers to use in shipping order considering order size and bulk
• Wraps and Bands products for optimal protection and shipping transport
• Records weights and dimensions of products
• Enters pertinent data into the computer system SAP
• Completes domestic and international shipping documents and labels and records shipment transactions in SAP or other shipping tracking system
• Runs shipping reports, as needed
• Loads pallets and cartons for shipment from warehouse to trucks using a forklift
• Performs inventory counts of the shipping and other areas as needed
• Updates paper and electronic records for tracking, inclusive of SAP transactions
• Follows and performs daily 6S activities to include general good housekeeping duties
• Assists Receiving and other departments on extraneous material movements and non- inventory shipments
• Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Employee Handbook, AWAIR and/or applicable employment agreement
• Follows safety guidelines and procedures in accordance to the job
• Performs additional duties as assigned
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be constantly required to execute standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers)
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be constantly required to execute non-standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e. climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch)
