Job Title: Regional Director of Sales and Marketing
Working Title: Marketer
Reports To: Administrator
JOB SUMMARY:
The purpose of this position is to establish and maintain positive relationships with customers and referral sources, respond to customer requests and concerns, and to initiate referrals from various organizations, government agencies, and other payers for the Facility
RESPONSIBILITIES AND MAJOR DUTIES:
1. Continuously conduct market assessments and develops a comprehensive marketing plan designed to meet budgetary volume projections.
2. Employ marketing and promotional initiatives to achieve budgetary volume projections and goals.
3. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with current and potential referral and payer sources.
4. Builds and monitors community, customer, payer and patient perceptions of the Facility and Long Term Care industry as a high quality provider of services. This includes helping gather information and completing the Admissions package.
5. Provides leadership in facility initiatives as requested including identifying opportunities for additional or improved services to address customer needs.
6. Maintains comprehensive working knowledge of the long term care markets including government agencies, major payer groups, key referral sources, and competitor’s market positioning.
7. Maintains comprehensive working knowledge in the field of marketing and shares information with appropriate organization personnel.
8. Research and evaluate new business opportunities, demand for potential opportunities, and customer needs and insights.
9. Assist with managing launch campaigns for new services as requested.
10. Recommend short- and long-term facility goals and objectives.
11. Assist with ensuring effective, branded marketing communications including the facility website, print communication, and advertising.
12. Assist with the analysis of the effectiveness of all marketing efforts, reporting all findings to the Administrator as requested.
13. Observe infection control procedures.
14. Ensure the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process is followed in accordance to State & Federal Guidelines.
15. Follow Residents’ Rights policies at all times.
16. Adhere to all facility policies & procedures and ensure they are adhered to by all responsible parties and carry out disciplinary action for non-compliance as appropriate.
17. Ensure adherence to the Corporate Integrity Program and the Performance Expectations at all times.
18. Perform other related duties as directed by the Administrator and/or person of authority.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Associates Degree in Marketing or related field preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in marketing for a long term care facility required. Presents a professional and organized approach to promoting the facility to community referral sources and professionals required. Ability to communicate, organize and direct changes in a staffing schedule required.
LICENSURE, REGISTRATION, COMPLIANCE CHECKS AND/OR CERTIFICATION
Successfully complete &/or comply with all required background checks to include but not limited to: Ohio BCI&I fingerprint analysis, FBI (if applicable) fingerprint analysis, Nurse Aide Registry, HHS/OIG list of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE) & Ohio Medicaid Provider Exclusion and Suspension List.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR PATIENT CARE
Provide services based on physician orders. Communicate physician, patient and family needs with the appropriate caregivers.
COMPUTER
Intermediate to Advanced personal computer skills including electronic mail, routine database activity and word processing.
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to coordinate the marketing initiatives for the facility to all relevant parties within and outside of the assigned facility.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR CONFIDENTIAL MATTERS
Works regularly with some information such as medical records or reports, financial reports, information on computer screens or other electronic devices, and records that are restricted to specific persons. Must comply with confidentiality policy.
