Trainees are expected to work 37.5 hours per week and may have additional game day responsibilities, depending on department and assignments. The individuals who participate in this program are non-exempt, paid hourly, eligible for overtime, and are benefit-eligible after 60 days (medical, dental, vision).
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Accounting and Finance Department supports all aspects of the Braves Front Office operations. We partner with department leaders to support the major league baseball team, game day operations, minor league affiliates, spring training operations in North Port, international baseball operations, The Battery, special events, sales, marketing, and administrative functions. Our team works with department leaders to ensure operations run smoothly and to provide financial decision support. The Accounting Accounts Payable Trainee will primarily support the Assistant Controller, Baseball, by assisting in processing invoices and expense reports, vendor maintenance, month-end reporting and controls, and participating in accounting process improvement projects. This position will have a unique opportunity to work with many departments within the baseball organization to understand their financial drivers and learn the operations of the department.
